Mariah “Rye” Soto is a movement artist born & raised in the Boogie Down BX, began her passion of dancing at 6 years old. As a teenager she began traveling frequently to perform with her hometown dance studio in various places such as Puerto Rico, Miami, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Boston and many other local areas in New York.

Mariah is now a dance educator for the youth in New York City, working in dance studios, in-school residencies & afterschool programs across all the boroughs. Mariah has studied and trained in various styles of street dance, Latin dance, and commercial dance. Her favorite part of dancing is the freedom and joy experienced through movement, allowing for a deeper connection to forge between the body & soul.
